This 16-days trek is an intense immersion in the heart of the Annapurna massif. It takes up to the famous Annapurna region. We cross the Thorong La (5416 m) and trek to the heart of the Annapurnas as we make our way to the Annpurna Sanctuary. We are greeted by amazing views of the mountains and glacial lakes. It is a unique trek that offers a diverse experience as it showcases that best of what Nepal has to offer in terms of landscape; picturesque scenery; culture; people. We pass stark arid high altitude deserts dotted by monasteries, Gurung villages scattered among lush paddy fields against the backdrop of some of the highest mountains in the world. We walk in the footsteps of Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenel who first conquered an 8000 meter peak when they stood on top of Annapurna. It is a mythical trek in the footsteps of the first conquest of the Himalayas.
