We walk through the snowy passes over 5000 m, go across the turquoise waters of Lake Phoksunmdo and immerse ourselves in the spiritual heart of Upper Dolpo and discover Shey and Taksang. We follow the ancient paths of yak caravans carrying salt to Tibet. En route we come across beautiful monasteries and villages that cling to the mountains. The sight of colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze remain ingrained our minds forever. The ever smiling faces of the Dolpopas, the original inhabitants of this unique kingdom, make the encounter with them an experience of a lifetime.
